This 400,000 BTU heater is an indirect fire heater. The heater unit itself remains outside and the heater uses flexible duct hoses to supply heat to the inside of structure. Heater can be used to heat outdoor event tents or buildings that torpedo style heaters are not allowed due to open flame. Heater does not have open flame and does not deplete the oxygen in the area that is being heated. Another advantage of this indirect fired heater is that there are no fumes or smell in the heated area.
Heater is a large unit and must be transported in a trailer that is at least 4' foot wide and 7'
long or a flatbed truck. The unit has a 61 gallon diesel fuel tank and will run about 25 hours per tank consuming around 2 gallons per hour. Fuel is not included in rental and must be full upon return, or a fuel surcharge fee will be charged. If a trailer is needed, we do have trailers available to rent. We are able to assist loading on to a flatbed truck or trailer with our forklift.
Heater requires 120V and a 20AMP breaker/circuit. This heater must have a constant 115V in order to operate. Each heater has a voltage meter installed to monitor. If heater is powered by a generator, it should be an inverter style and at least 7000 watts. Each heater should have its own generator and be the only item being powered off that generator. Each heater comes with a 100' extension cord and is the only cord that should be used. Heater will not run properly if wrong gauge cord or more than one cord is used.
The 400,000 BTU heater package includes the heater with full tank of fuel, thermostat, 100'extension cord, voltage meter, three 20"x10' flexible duct hoses, one 20'x20"x20" Y vent, and a chimney flue.
